Venue

Module: Venue

The Venue module gives participants and guests everything they need to know about the event location — geography, access, and nearby points of interest — answered conversationally instead of buried in a PDF or website.

What It Covers

Location background General questions about the location: history, geography, and background on the area.
Local recommendations Restaurants, points of interest, and things to see nearby.
Airport information With links for arrival and departure.
Ferry ports Where applicable.
Navigation Locations are presented as one-click Google Maps links, so participants can start navigation instantly without typing an address.

Relationship to Race Guide

Venue and Race Guide naturally overlap, since race guides often already describe the venue, start/finish area, and access logistics. Venue’s role is to provide structured, always-current location data (maps links, transport info) independent of whatever the organizer happened to write into the race guide text — so it remains useful even if the race guide is brief or outdated on logistics.

Good to Know

Venue content is curated in advance from data the organizer provides — it does not pull live information (e.g. current traffic, real-time opening hours, or newly opened venues nearby). Recommendations and points of interest should be reviewed and refreshed periodically so they stay accurate, particularly for longer-running events (6 or 12 Month period) where local conditions may change.
