What is Sabin
Sabin is an AI-powered event assistant chatbot designed for endurance sports events — cycling races, running events, triathlons, and rowing regattas. It gives participants, guests, press, and event teams a single conversational interface to everything they need before, during, and after an event.
The Core Idea
Instead of scattering information across websites, PDFs, WhatsApp groups, and printed race guides, Sabin puts it all into one chat. Participants simply ask questions — in their own language — and get immediate, accurate answers drawn directly from the event’s own data.
How It Works
Sabin is built on Claude’s API, with a MariaDB backend and Scriptcase as the administrative frontend. Every event gets its own configuration — bots, modules, texts, and data connections are entirely database-driven, with no hardcoded logic. This means a new event can be set up by configuring data, not by writing new code.
Each user is identified through a cookie-based session (no app download, no login friction for casual use), which recognizes their role — Participant, Guest, Press, Team, or Admin — and tailors what Sabin shows and says accordingly.

Add-on modules (selected per event)

| Guests | Get general event and venue information. |
| Press | Get accredited access to structured event content for reporting. |
| Team/Organizers | Manage the event, messaging, and content through the same system. |
| Admins | Oversee the platform across events. |
Why It’s Different
Sabin isn’t a generic chatbot wrapper — it’s purpose-built for event operations, with the same architecture that already powers real race-day logistics (road closures, marshal assignments, hotel allocations). It was proven live at GFNY Belitung 2026, where participants actively used it to check their results — real-world validation, not a pilot in theory.
Sabin is now moving toward a white-label, multi-tenant model: timers and event organizers across Southeast Asia (and beyond, including rowing regattas) can offer Sabin under their own brand, with pricing built around an annual organizer subscription plus a small per-participant fee.
